Ayurvedic formulation-knowledge: it lists specific food-medicinal ingredients (pulses, sesame, jangala-rasa broth, rock salt, ghee, raisins, dry ginger, āmalakī, and kola) to be combined as a therapeutic preparation.
It demonstrates the Purana’s practical Ayurvedic layer—cataloging materia medica and dietetic combinations—showing that the Agni Purana functions not only as a mythic text but also as a compendium of applied sciences like medicine and nutrition.
By prescribing sāttvika, regulated food-medicine combinations for health and balance, it supports dharma through bodily steadiness—since maintaining health is treated as a prerequisite for sustained ritual practice, study, and disciplined conduct.
