Transliteration

jhaṣamṛtyuprabhāvena jātā krauṃcī vane nṛpa | godāvarīvane vyādho bhramate mṛgamārgakaḥ

Translation

Par la puissance d’une mort causée par un poisson, ô roi, je naquis dans la forêt comme femelle de l’oiseau krauñca. Dans le bois de la Godāvarī, un chasseur errait, suivant les pistes des cerfs.
