वसिष्ठ उवाच । यदि तुष्टो महादेव वरो देयो ममाधुना । तदाऽत्र भवता स्थेयं यावदाचंद्रतारकम्
vasiṣṭha uvāca | yadi tuṣṭo mahādeva varo deyo mamādhunā | tadā'tra bhavatā stheyaṃ yāvadācaṃdratārakam
Vasiṣṭha dit : Si Tu es satisfait, ô Mahādeva (Śiva), accorde-moi dès maintenant une grâce : demeure ici jusqu’au temps de la lune et des étoiles, aussi longtemps qu’elles subsisteront.
