Type: kshetra
Listener: Unspecified beloved interlocutor
Scene: A teacher-narrator addresses a beloved listener, proclaiming that mere hearing frees beings from long-stored sins, while the cosmic motif of the eleven Rudras hovers as a subtle mandala behind them.
Śravaṇa (devout hearing) of sacred māhātmya is itself purifying, loosening the burden of long-stored sin.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, whose māhātmya is presented as spiritually efficacious even through hearing.
The implied practice is listening/recitation of the māhātmya; no additional ritual steps are specified in this verse.
