रावणस्तं विदित्वा तु ज्वरं परमदारुणम् । प्रोवाच तिष्ठतु नृपस्तेन मे न प्रयोजनम्
rāvaṇastaṃ viditvā tu jvaraṃ paramadāruṇam | provāca tiṣṭhatu nṛpastena me na prayojanam
Mais Rāvaṇa, reconnaissant cette fièvre d’une extrême cruauté, déclara : « Que ce roi demeure tel qu’il est ; je n’ai nul besoin de lui. »
