Agastya
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (Uttarāyaṇa śrāddha/dāna-kāla)
Type: kshetra
Listener: A respected interlocutor/audience addressed as ‘best of the good’
Scene: At Prabhāsa during Uttarāyaṇa: priests and a dvija perform śrāddha—piṇḍas, darbha, water libations—near a shrine; cows and gifts are symbolically present, indicating go-dāna-scale merit; the sun’s northward course is suggested by bright, auspicious light.
Right season and right place elevate both worship and ancestral rites, showing dharma’s power through tīrtha and kāla.
Prabhāsa Kṣetra (Hāṭakeśvara/Agastya-āśrama context), whose śrāddha is equated with Gayā’s.
Perform pūjā and śrāddha here during uttarāyaṇa/uttara-ayana for exceptionally amplified merit.
