ईश्वर उवाच । जन्मजीवितमध्ये तु यद्येका लभ्यते नरैः । संयोगयुक्ता सा षष्ठी तत्किं देवि ब्रवीम्यहम्
īśvara uvāca | janmajīvitamadhye tu yadyekā labhyate naraiḥ | saṃyogayuktā sā ṣaṣṭhī tatkiṃ devi bravīmyaham
Īśvara dit : « Si, au cours de la naissance et de la vie, les hommes obtiennent ne fût-ce qu’une seule Ṣaṣṭhī ainsi, dotée de conjonctions fastes, que puis-je dire de plus, ô Déesse ? »
