Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī/Umā (contextual)
Scene: A donor presents grand gifts—cow with decorated horns, gold coins, a small model chariot—while the pilgrim accepts them with restraint; a covered food platter is respectfully declined, emphasizing the rule.
During sacred pilgrimage discipline, purity is protected by avoiding dependence on others’ food, even while other gifts may be accepted.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra (Prabhāsa Tīrtha) as taught in the Prabhāsakṣetramāhātmya.
A niyama: avoid accepting/partaking of others’ food while observing tīrtha discipline.
