Type: tirtha
Listener: Devī (Pārvatī)
Scene: At a coastal/riverine Prabhāsa tīrtha, a bull once black now radiant white stands near the water; devas and sages gesture in reverence as the place is proclaimed Śaṃḍatīrtha, worthy of worship in the three worlds.
Tīrthas are sanctified not only by geography but by sacred events that reveal divine purification and transformation.
Śaṃḍatīrtha in Prabhāsa Kṣetra.
No direct ritual is prescribed here; the verse primarily explains the tīrtha’s fame and origin.
