Īśvara dit : « Ensuite, ô Grande Déesse, qu’on se rende au sanctuaire de Varāha établi en ce lieu—situé au sud de Goṣpada—un endroit qui anéantit les péchés. »
Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Varāha-sthāna (south of Goṣpada)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Mahādevī (Pārvatī)
Scene: Śiva (Īśvara) instructs Devī on the route; in the distance stands a Varāha temple south of a small pond/spot called Goṣpada; pilgrims approach with offerings.
Pilgrimage is mapped as a dharmic journey: approaching specific shrines with faith is presented as a means of purification.
The Varāha (Varāhasvāmin) shrine located south of the Goṣpada tīrtha within Prabhāsakṣetra.
A yātrā instruction: ‘go to’ and visit the Varāha shrine; the ritual details follow in subsequent verses.
