Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 43

कलशानष्टदिग्भागे सहिरण्यान्पृथक्पृथक् । स्थापयित्वा तु शक्तिस्ता वामाद्याः पूर्वतः क्रमात्

kalaśānaṣṭadigbhāge sahiraṇyānpṛthakpṛthak | sthāpayitvā tu śaktistā vāmādyāḥ pūrvataḥ kramāt

Dans les huit quartiers des directions, qu’on place des kalaśa, vases d’eau, chacun séparément et pourvu d’or. Les ayant établis, qu’on dispose ces Śakti —à commencer par Vāmā— selon l’ordre, en partant de l’est.
