Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 18

स्थातव्यमद्यप्रभृति क्षेत्रेऽस्मिन्नुमया सह । यस्मात्त्वया प्रभा लब्धा क्षेत्रेऽस्मिन्मत्प्रसादतः । तस्मात्प्रभासमित्येवं नामास्य प्रभविष्यति

sthātavyamadyaprabhṛti kṣetre'sminnumayā saha | yasmāttvayā prabhā labdhā kṣetre'sminmatprasādataḥ | tasmātprabhāsamityevaṃ nāmāsya prabhaviṣyati

Dès aujourd’hui, je demeurerai dans ce kṣetra sacré avec Umā. Puisque, par ma grâce, tu as obtenu l’éclat (prabhā) en ce lieu même, cet endroit sera donc renommé sous le nom de « Prabhāsa ».
