ब्राह्मणैः प्रार्थ्यमानस्तु शीघ्रं धावति नित्यशः । न कदाचिद्ददाति स्म तेनासौ शीघ्रगः स्मृतः
brāhmaṇaiḥ prārthyamānastu śīghraṃ dhāvati nityaśaḥ | na kadāciddadāti sma tenāsau śīghragaḥ smṛtaḥ
Quand les brāhmaṇa le sollicitaient, il s’enfuyait toujours en hâte ; jamais il ne donna—c’est pourquoi on se souvient de lui comme « Śīghraga » (le Coureur rapide).
