देव्युवाच । श्रुतं सर्वमशेषेण चन्द्रस्योत्पत्ति कारणम् । चिह्नं यथाऽभवत्तस्य सांप्रतं तत्प्रकीर्त्तय
devyuvāca | śrutaṃ sarvamaśeṣeṇa candrasyotpatti kāraṇam | cihnaṃ yathā'bhavattasya sāṃprataṃ tatprakīrttaya
La Déesse dit : « J’ai entendu entièrement la cause de la naissance de la Lune. À présent, raconte, tel que cela advint, le signe distinctif qui vint à paraître sur lui. »
