Type: kshetra
Scene: Close-up of a homa fire: in the ideal case, clean, bright flames rise and ‘lick’ upward with minimal smoke; in contrast, a secondary vignette shows a smoky, dull fire with hesitant offerings—illustrating the prohibition.
Outer signs (like the state of Agni) mirror inner order—proper conditions support the fruit of dharma.
The instruction is embedded in Prabhāsakṣetra Māhātmya, linking correct ritual to the sanctity of Prabhāsa.
Prefer a smokeless, vigorously flaming fire for rites; avoid offering into a weak, smoky fire.
