Transliteration

yatrādhikṛtya śakunīndharmādharmavicāraṇam | purāṇaṃ navasāhasraṃ mārkaṇḍeyaṃ taducyate

Ce Purāṇa qui, prenant les oiseaux pour base, examine le dharma et l’adharma, est appelé le Mārkaṇḍeya, et il comprend neuf mille (vers).
