ऋषयो जज्ञिरे पूर्वं सूर्यबिंबसमप्रभाः । पितुस्तव समीपं ते वरणाय तव प्रिये । प्रस्थापिता मया पूर्वं तत्त्वं जानासि सुव्रते

ṛṣayo jajñire pūrvaṃ sūryabiṃbasamaprabhāḥ | pitustava samīpaṃ te varaṇāya tava priye | prasthāpitā mayā pūrvaṃ tattvaṃ jānāsi suvrate

Autrefois naquirent des sages, rayonnants comme le disque du soleil. Bien-aimée, je les envoyai jadis auprès de ton père pour te demander en mariage. Tu connais cette vérité, ô toi aux vœux excellents.
