«Éveillez-vous !»—ô Grande Déesse—là, l’on doit toujours vénérer Budha (Mercure). Par le mantra «bṛhaspate», l’on doit sans cesse honorer le Guru (Bṛhaspati/Jupiter).
Skanda (deduced from Prabhāsa-khaṇḍa māhātmya narrative style)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī (addressed as ‘mahādevi’)
Scene: The worshipper raises hands in invocation—‘Awaken!’—before a green Budha icon; nearby a golden Guru (Bṛhaspati) is honored with steady lamp and yellow offerings; the mandala is complete and radiant.
Awakening (bodha) and right counsel (guru) are sacred aims—honoring Budha and Guru symbolizes cultivating discernment and wisdom.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, where continuous worship is recommended as a source of auspiciousness.
Regular worship of Budha with an awakening-call mantra, and worship of Guru with the ‘bṛhaspate’ mantra.
