Skanda (deduced)
Tirtha: Meru-pīṭha (Prabhāsa-kṣetra)
Type: kund
Listener: Ṛṣi assembly / pilgrims (contextual)
Scene: A central raised platform (Meru-pīṭha) within a sacred mandala is worshipped. Serpent motifs coil around the base as guardians. The priest chants ‘namo’ to serpents, then turns to the exact center, reciting ‘hiraṇyagarbhaḥ samavartata…’ as a golden cosmic light appears above the altar.
Pilgrimage worship links the local sacred center to cosmic origins—honoring nāgas and Hiraṇyagarbha situates the tīrtha within universal order.
Prabhāsa Kṣetra’s Merupīṭha and the central sanctified point (madhya) of the ritual mandala.
Daily worship of Merupīṭha with “namas tu sarpebhyaḥ”, and worship at the center with “hiraṇyagarbhaḥ samavartata…”.
