Transliteration

sarasena tu toyena kṛtakhaṇḍena vai śubham | suvāsinīnāṃ peyaṃ vai dātavyaṃ ca dvijanmanām

Translation

Avec de l’eau parfumée et du sucre finement raffiné—préparation de bon augure—qu’on offre cette boisson aux femmes mariées bénies, et qu’on la donne aussi aux dvija, les « deux-fois-nés ».
