गौरीमेवं तथा शप्त्वा सा देवी वरवर्णिनी । उच्चै रुरोद सावित्री भर्तृ यज्ञाद्बहिः स्थिता
gaurīmevaṃ tathā śaptvā sā devī varavarṇinī | uccai ruroda sāvitrī bhartṛ yajñādbahiḥ sthitā
Ainsi, après avoir maudit Gaurī, la déesse Sāvitrī, au teint exquis, demeura hors du sacrifice de son époux et pleura à haute voix.
