tathā kathaya me deva dayāṃ kṛtvā jagatprabho | nirvāṇaparamaṃ kalpaṃ sarvabhrāṃtivivarjitam | prasiddhaṃ sukhadaṃ divyaṃ samā cakṣva maheśvara
Tirtha: Prabhāsa (context for the nirvāṇa-parama kalpa)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Maheśvara (Śiva)
Scene: Mahādevī implores Maheśvara for a famed, bliss-giving, divine ordinance leading to nirvāṇa; the air is still, as if awaiting a sacred teaching; Prabhāsa’s luminous atmosphere suggests the ‘prasiddha’ nature of the kalpa.
True dharma is a clear, compassionate teaching that removes भ्रम (bhrānti, delusion) and culminates in nirvāṇa.
The verse introduces the forthcoming Prabhāsa tīrtha-network as the ‘renowned and divine’ means; the explicit sites are named in the subsequent verses.
No specific ritual is yet prescribed; the verse requests a complete description of the moksha-oriented ordinance.
