Type: kshetra
Listener: Mahādevī (Pārvatī)
Scene: Śiva (Īśvara) speaks to Devī, pointing northward; in the distance a modest stone shrine with a liṅga labeled Yameśvara; pilgrims move along a coastal path with flags and lamps, guided by the divine instruction.
Pilgrimage is guided by dharma: sacred sites linked to righteous figures (like Dharmarāja) direct devotees toward Śiva and purifying merit.
Yameśvara in Prabhāsa-kṣetra, a Śiva presence said to be established by Dharmarāja (Yama).
A pilgrimage instruction: “one should go” (gacchet) to Yameśvara—implying darśana/visit as the act of merit.
