Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 46

स्मशानेष्वपि तेजस्वी पावको नैव दुष्यति । हव्यकव्यव्यपेतोऽपि ब्राह्मणो नैव दुष्यति

smaśāneṣvapi tejasvī pāvako naiva duṣyati | havyakavyavyapeto'pi brāhmaṇo naiva duṣyati

Même dans les lieux de crémation, le feu flamboyant n’est pas souillé. De même, le brāhmaṇa, même privé des offrandes aux dieux et aux ancêtres (havya-kavya), n’en est pas entaché.
