Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 40

आदिमध्यावसानानां ज्ञानानां छिन्नसंशयाः । परापरविशेषज्ञा नेतारः परमां गतिम् । अवध्या ब्राह्मणास्तस्मात्पापेष्वपि रताः सदा

ādimadhyāvasānānāṃ jñānānāṃ chinnasaṃśayāḥ | parāparaviśeṣajñā netāraḥ paramāṃ gatim | avadhyā brāhmaṇāstasmātpāpeṣvapi ratāḥ sadā

Ils ont tranché le doute au sujet de la connaissance—son commencement, son milieu et sa fin. Connaissant la distinction entre le supérieur et l’inférieur, ils mènent vers le but suprême. Ainsi, les brāhmaṇas ne doivent pas être mis à mort, même s’ils s’adonnent sans cesse au péché.
