ye brāhmaṇāḥ so'hamasaṃśayaṃ priye teṣvarciteṣvarcito'haṃ bhaveyam | teṣveva tuṣṭeṣvahameva tuṣṭo vairaṃ ca tairyasya mamāpi vairam
Type: kshetra
Scene: The Lord declares identity with Brāhmaṇas; two contrasting vignettes: devotees honoring Brāhmaṇas and receiving divine approval; a hostile figure shown as opposing the deity’s will.
Respect for dharma-bearers is inseparable from devotion to God; harming them is treated as harming the divine.
Prabhāsa Kṣetra, by teaching how divine favor is accessed through pleasing the Brāhmaṇas associated with the tīrtha.
Honor and please Brāhmaṇas; avoid Brāhmaṇa-dveṣa (enmity), treated as a serious religious fault.
