Śrī Prahlāda (continuation of discourse)
Tirtha: Gomatī
Type: ghat
Scene: Pilgrims bathing at Gomatī-ghāṭa at auspicious time; a learned Veda-master Brāhmaṇa seated nearby receiving symbolic gifts; above, a subtle divine presence of Kṛṣṇa (‘Madhubhid’) blessing the waters, indicating equivalence of fruits.
Tīrtha-snānā, especially when linked to Kṛṣṇa’s sacred time, is proclaimed to yield merits comparable to great acts of charity.
The Gomatī river (Gomatyām), associated with the Dvārakā region.
Snāna (bathing) in the Gomatī on Madhubhid’s day (a Viṣṇu/Kṛṣṇa sacred observance).
