प्रसादेन च भूतानां गंगाऽशेषाघहारिणी । भूषयामास तद्देशं सा च विष्णुपदी सरित्

prasādena ca bhūtānāṃ gaṃgā'śeṣāghahāriṇī | bhūṣayāmāsa taddeśaṃ sā ca viṣṇupadī sarit

Par la grâce accordée à tous les êtres, la Gaṅgā—qui efface toute faute—orna cette contrée. Ce fleuve, renommé Viṣṇupadī (issu du pied de Viṣṇu), embellit la terre.
