चन्द्रशर्मोवाच । के यूयं विकृताकारा जंतूनां च भयानकाः । पृथ्वीसमुद्भवा जीवा न दृष्टा न श्रुता मया
candraśarmovāca | ke yūyaṃ vikṛtākārā jaṃtūnāṃ ca bhayānakāḥ | pṛthvīsamudbhavā jīvā na dṛṣṭā na śrutā mayā
Candraśarman dit : «Qui êtes-vous, aux formes altérées, effrayantes pour les êtres vivants ? Vous semblez des créatures nées de la terre, et pourtant je ne vous ai jamais vus ni même entendus mentionner auparavant.»
