हन्यमानस्त्वमस्माभिर्यदि मुक्तोसि वै द्विज । कस्मात्पुनः समायातो मरणाय च दुष्टधीः
hanyamānastvamasmābhiryadi muktosi vai dvija | kasmātpunaḥ samāyāto maraṇāya ca duṣṭadhīḥ
«Si, bien que frappé par nous, tu t’es réellement échappé, ô brāhmane, pourquoi es-tu revenu encore, l’esprit mauvais, comme pour courir à la mort ?»
