Transliteration

śyāmalovāca | kiṃ tasya mandabhāgyasya alpapuṇyasya durmateḥ | mā kurudhvaṃ kathāḥ sādhvyaḥ kathāṃ kathayatā'parām

Translation

Śyāmala dit : À quoi bon parler de ce malchanceux, au peu de mérite et à l’esprit mauvais ? Ô dames vertueuses, ne racontez pas son histoire ; parlez plutôt d’un autre sujet.
