«Sur ton sommet, ma demeure sera toujours là. Et là s’élèveront aussi des tīrtha sacrés, des rivières saintes, des dieux et des sanctuaires qui sanctifient.»
Vasiṣṭha
Tirtha: Arbuda-kṣetra (summit sanctified by Vasiṣṭha)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Nandivardhana (and Arbuda as addressed mountain)
Scene: Vasiṣṭha proclaims: ‘My abode will always be on your summit’; from the peak radiate luminous streams (future rivers), tīrtha markers, small shrines, and descending devas—an unfolding sacred map.
Divine presence creates sacred geography—tīrthas, rivers, and temples emerge where dharma is established.
The mountain Arbuda is praised as a future locus of tīrthas and holy shrines.
No direct prescription; it announces the establishment of tīrthas and sacred abodes (āyatanas).
