अथ तस्य सुता राजन्दाशकन्यासखी शुभा । दुःखेन महताविष्टा दाश्यंतिकमुपाद्रवत्

atha tasya sutā rājandāśakanyāsakhī śubhā | duḥkhena mahatāviṣṭā dāśyaṃtikamupādravat

Alors, ô roi, sa fille — jeune fille de bon augure et amie intime de la fille du pêcheur —, accablée d’une grande peine, se hâta aussitôt vers la demeure de celle-ci.
