तच्छ्रुत्वा तैः सुरैः सर्वैः शमीगर्भः स तत्क्षणात् । वेष्टितः पावकोऽप्याशु शुकं शप्त्वा विनिर्गतः
tacchrutvā taiḥ suraiḥ sarvaiḥ śamīgarbhaḥ sa tatkṣaṇāt | veṣṭitaḥ pāvako'pyāśu śukaṃ śaptvā vinirgataḥ
À ces mots, tous les dieux encerclèrent aussitôt l’intérieur du śamī ; et Pāvaka (Agni) en sortit promptement, après avoir maudit Śuka.
