एवमुक्तस्ततस्तेन विष्णुना प्रभविष्णुना । तां कन्या मानयामास तं च विप्रभृगूद्वहम्

evamuktastatastena viṣṇunā prabhaviṣṇunā | tāṃ kanyā mānayāmāsa taṃ ca viprabhṛgūdvaham

Ainsi interpellé par Viṣṇu, le Seigneur tout-puissant, il rendit honneur à la jeune fille comme au plus éminent des brāhmaṇas, le meilleur de la lignée de Bhṛgu parmi les deux-fois-nés.
