न तस्याः सदृशः कांतः प्राप्तस्तेन महात्मना । यतस्ततोऽहमादिष्टः कांतमस्यास्त्वमानय । अनुरूपं द्विजश्रेष्ठ यद्यहं संमतस्तव
na tasyāḥ sadṛśaḥ kāṃtaḥ prāptastena mahātmanā | yatastato'hamādiṣṭaḥ kāṃtamasyāstvamānaya | anurūpaṃ dvijaśreṣṭha yadyahaṃ saṃmatastava
Ce grand d’âme ne trouva point d’époux convenable, égal à elle. C’est pourquoi il me donna cet ordre : «Amène un époux pour cette jeune fille—un homme digne d’elle, ô le meilleur des brāhmanes—si tu tiens compte de ma requête.»
