तस्य चक्रे पिता नाम प्राप्ते द्वादशमे दिने । प्रसिद्धं वृत्र इत्येव पूजयित्वा द्विजोत्तमान्
tasya cakre pitā nāma prāpte dvādaśame dine | prasiddhaṃ vṛtra ityeva pūjayitvā dvijottamān
Le douzième jour, le père accomplit le rite de nomination et lui donna le nom renommé de « Vṛtra », après avoir honoré les plus éminents des deux-fois-nés (brāhmaṇas).
