अथ तां विरतां ज्ञात्वा सोऽन्यचित्तां प्रियां नृपः । यत्नेन रक्षयामास विश्वासं नैव गच्छति
atha tāṃ viratāṃ jñātvā so'nyacittāṃ priyāṃ nṛpaḥ | yatnena rakṣayāmāsa viśvāsaṃ naiva gacchati
Puis, sachant qu’elle s’était détournée de lui et que l’esprit de sa bien-aimée était ailleurs, le roi la garda avec grand soin—mais la confiance ne revint point véritablement.
