उपवासो बलाज्जातः सस्याभावादसंशयम् । अस्माकं जागरं चापि भविष्यति बुभुक्षया
upavāso balājjātaḥ sasyābhāvādasaṃśayam | asmākaṃ jāgaraṃ cāpi bhaviṣyati bubhukṣayā
Le jeûne s’est abattu sur nous par contrainte, sans nul doute, faute de grain. Et notre veille nocturne aussi aura lieu—par la faim elle-même.
