Sūta
Type: kshetra
Scene: A palace courtyard: the king performs the child’s naming on the twelfth day, with seated brāhmaṇas, ritual vessels, and a cradle; the name ‘Ambuvīci’ is proclaimed.
Householder dharma is affirmed through saṃskāras: even royal narratives emphasize proper rites performed with learned Brāhmaṇas.
No tīrtha is named in this verse; it sets up the story that will connect to the Puṣkara-area tīrthas described in this Adhyāya.
Nāmakaraṇa (naming ceremony) performed on the twelfth day, with the presence of dvijottamas (learned Brāhmaṇas).
