पंचम्यां शुक्लपक्षे तु मासि भाद्रपदे द्विजाः । यस्तान्पूजयते भक्त्या पुष्पधूपानुलेपनैः । विधिनानेन विप्रेन्द्राः सर्वानेव यथाक्रमम्
paṃcamyāṃ śuklapakṣe tu māsi bhādrapade dvijāḥ | yastānpūjayate bhaktyā puṣpadhūpānulepanaiḥ | vidhinānena viprendrāḥ sarvāneva yathākramam
Ô deux-fois-nés : au cinquième jour de la quinzaine claire du mois de Bhādrapada, celui qui les adore avec dévotion—par des fleurs, de l’encens et des onguents—selon ce rite prescrit, ô meilleur des brāhmaṇas, et en honorant chacun dans l’ordre convenable—(obtient le mérite énoncé).
