ब्रह्मोवाच । यदि नाम मया सृष्टा यूयं दिष्ट्या विषोल्बणाः । अपराधं विना कस्माद्भक्षयध्व इमाः प्रजाः

Transliteration

brahmovāca | yadi nāma mayā sṛṣṭā yūyaṃ diṣṭyā viṣolbaṇāḥ | aparādhaṃ vinā kasmādbhakṣayadhva imāḥ prajāḥ

Translation

Brahmā dit : «Quand bien même il serait vrai que je vous ai créés, et que, par le destin, vous êtes farouches de venin, pourquoi dévorez-vous ces êtres sans qu’ils aient commis aucune faute ?»
