Scene: Haṃsa speaks with folded hands, expressing his vow undertaken for offspring; the deity listens, serene; the liṅga and ritual implements indicate completed observance.
Approaching Śiva with sincere intent and dharmic purpose—such as sustaining one’s lineage—receives divine attention when grounded in devotion.
A liṅga-centered tīrtha within the Nāgarakhaṇḍa’s Tīrthamāhātmya (the passage continues to praise worship at this specific liṅga-site).
An undertaking/observance (samārambha) directed toward obtaining offspring, expressed as a prayer to the Lord.
