tasmāttvaṃ hi mayā tyaktaḥ sāṃprataṃ hi na me guruḥ | aviśaṣeṇa śiṣyārthaṃ yadādeśaṃ prayacchasi
Scene: Yājñavalkya, composed, declares separation; his posture is firm but not insulting. The guru appears conflicted; disciples watch in silence.
Dharma may require separation from wrongdoing, yet one should still seek truth and instruction without ego.
The episode proceeds toward Viśvāmitra-hrada, where spiritual restoration is sought through tīrtha practice.
No explicit ritual here; it frames the narrative that later includes snāna and devotion.
