Type: kshetra
Listener: Ṛṣis
Scene: Sūta instructs the sages: offerings must be given separately to each; a line of cows, garlanded and calm, stands ready for gifting; a brāhmaṇa recipient waits with ritual vessels as the sequence proceeds.
Devotion is made concrete through disciplined generosity—giving intentionally, individually, and with real offerings.
The instruction belongs to the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra Māhātmya setting, guiding how merit is earned there through dāna.
Offer dāna to each intended recipient separately, and perform gau-dāna (gift of actual cows) in a prescribed order.
