durvāsā uvāca | eka eva hyupāyo'sti tava pātakanāśane | taṃ cetkaroṣi me vākyādviśuddhaḥ saṃbhaviṣyasi
Scene: Durvāsā, stern yet compassionate, declares a single remedy for sin; the petitioner listens intently, hands folded, the atmosphere charged with moral certainty.
Purification comes through a clear, dharmic remedy carried out with obedience and sincerity.
No tīrtha is specified in this verse.
A single, definitive upāya (remedy) is promised; its details follow in subsequent verses.
