ये तु संस्मृत्य मनुजाः कपालं मम सद्द्विज । तत्र श्राद्धं करिष्यंति ते नरा मुक्तिसंयुताः । श्राद्धपक्षे विशेषेण प्रयास्यंति परांगतिम्
ye tu saṃsmṛtya manujāḥ kapālaṃ mama saddvija | tatra śrāddhaṃ kariṣyaṃti te narā muktisaṃyutāḥ | śrāddhapakṣe viśeṣeṇa prayāsyaṃti parāṃgatim
Mais ceux qui, se souvenant de mon crâne, ô bon brāhmaṇa, accompliront là le śrāddha—ces hommes seront pourvus de mokṣa, la délivrance. Et surtout durant la saison du śrāddha, le Pitṛ-pakṣa, ils atteindront l’état suprême.
