Transliteration

sūta uvāca | tasmādeṣā mahārāja śivarātrirvipaścitā | kartavyā puruṣeṇātra lokadvayamabhīpsunā

Translation

Sūta dit : C’est pourquoi, ô grand roi, cette observance clairvoyante de Śivarātri doit assurément être accomplie par l’homme qui recherche le bien des deux mondes (ici-bas et l’au-delà).
