Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) to the sages (deduced)
Type: temple
Scene: Inside the temple hall: priests chant mantras; the devotee offers arghya to the liṅga; nearby, storytellers recite dharma narratives; singers continue; afterward, brāhmaṇas are seated and served abundant food and gifts; the devotee departs peacefully.
Devotion is completed by right worship and generosity—pūjā joined with dharma-discourse and feeding the worthy.
The liṅga-prāsāda established in the narrative is the focal sacred site where the Śivarātri rite is performed.
Pūjā with specified mantras, offering arghya according to vidhi, and satisfying brāhmaṇas with gifts/food (saṃtarpana).
