Narrator (contextual Purāṇic voice within the Jalaśāyī-upākhyāna)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee in vow-observance stands with folded hands before an image of Nārāyaṇa reclining on Śeṣa over the cosmic ocean; the deity’s gaze conveys acceptance and satisfaction.
Sincere, focused observance of a dharmic vow culminates in the Lord’s pleasure—divine grace is the fruit of disciplined devotion.
The teaching occurs within the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra-māhātmya (Nāgara Khaṇḍa), in the Jalaśāyī narrative context.
Proper performance of the Aśūnyaśayana-vrata with mental composure (samāhita) is emphasized.
